Sliced Pear - Photoshop Comp

The sliced pear shot was inspired by a chat with one of my photography friends, after hearing about it I headed that night to the supermarket and spent what seemed like ages sifting through the pears testing softness and looking for a good shape.

After finding a firm good looking pear I headed home to shoot it

I marked the back of the pear with a marker pen and with a very sharp knife cut it into slices. I removed every other slice and using cocktail sticks re structured the pear and then positioned it ready to photograph it.

Once the shots were taken I took the image into photoshop and cloned out the cocktail sticks.
